This One's Going to Be Hard to Top: Recapping Our August Wine Club Pick-Up Weekend
Three days, three seatings each day, and a group of members who made every single one of them worth it.
We kicked off each seating with Scott taking everyone out for a tour of the vineyards, something he'd tell you is his favorite part of any day out here. He walked members through what's new in the vineyard this year, talked through our sustainability efforts, shared some grape growing insights, and answered what he said were some of the best questions he's gotten in a long time. It's rare to have that kind of one-on-one time with everyone during one of the busiest stretches of the growing season, and it was clear it meant as much to him as it did to the people asking. Those conversations don't happen every day.
After the tour, we did something we've never done before — we welcomed everyone into our production facility for a light lunch. It felt like an above and beyond moment for our team because that's exactly what it was. Our members deserve that kind of effort, and Chef Brud delivered in a big way. Three bites, all incredible. And look, we're going to try to be professional here, but that Alsatian potato salad? We're still thinking about it.
To really bring the whole experience full circle, our winemakers poured a few tank samples straight from production — giving members a sneak peek at what's coming. There's something pretty special about tasting wine that isn't even finished yet, standing in the place where it's being made.
There was so much laughter this weekend. So many new friendships and familiar faces. The kind of energy in a room that you can't really manufacture — it just happens when the right people are in the right place. We're going to be talking about this one for a while.
To everyone who joined us — thank you. You're the reason we do this.
