This October, wine lovers across the country were invited to "come over," and here on Seneca Lake we took that invitation to heart. On October 7th, we teamed up with five of our neighbors, New Vines Winery, Anthony Road Wine Company, Billsboro Winery, Scout Vineyards and Bravery Winery, for an evening of tapas, wine and community as part of Come Over October.
Rather than each of us pouring on our own, we worked together to create three unhurried hours across three host locations. We welcomed New Vines Winery here at Fox Run, Anthony Road hosted Billsboro, and Bravery hosted Scout. Guests split into three groups and spent a full hour at each stop, tasting several wines alongside local bites made to pair with them, poured and talked through by the owners and winemakers themselves.
Nothing about the night was rushed, and that was the point. Wine is a true farm-to-table beverage, grown and made just feet from where we pour it, and it has always been at its best when it brings people together. We watched strangers pull up a chair, sit awhile and leave as friends. In a world where that kind of connection is easy to lose, it was alive and well on Seneca Lake.
"This is our second year doing this event with our neighbors, and this year we invited three more wineries to join us, because that is what Come Over October is about: sharing the table," said Scott Osborn, our President and Co-Owner. "It's incredible to see the impact this event has and how much our guests truly enjoy it. It's a reminder of why we love what we do and what makes wine so special."
Thank you to everyone who came over, and to our neighbors for sharing their tables, their wines and their stories. We'll be doing it all again in October 2027, and we can't wait to see you there.
