Fox Run Vineyards breaks down the barriers to the wine experience. We offer in-depth tours of the vineyard and winemaking facility, a friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a Café that features a fully house-made menu with produce from our garden. Fox Run Vineyards is family-owned, and has been making estate wines since 1989.
The Fox Run Café offers an incredible culinary experience. Our menu items feature fresh ingredients from neighborhood farmers, New York State producers, and from our very own garden. The Café also has a wide selection of cheeses from dozens of New York State creameries. Enjoy wine by the glass or bottle with lunch or a charcuterie board.
Fox Run is regularly ranked amongst the best wine and culinary experiences in the United States. In 2018 we were voted 3rd Best Winery Restaurant and 7th Best Tasting Room in the nation by USA Today's 10Best competition. The tasting room is open year-round, and we are one of the few Finger Lakes wineries to offer daily tours of the vineyard and winemaking facility.
Fox Run also hosts events and specialty tastings throughout the year. The highlight of the summer is the annual Glorious Garlic Festival, held the first weekend of August. The Garlic Fest offers an outdoor market with live music, delicious food and best of all: wine. It’s built on the belief of community—connecting local farmers and artisans with the people who work, live, and play in the Finger Lakes.
Before becoming a vineyard and winery, the Fox Run property was a dairy farm for more than a century. The first grapes were planted in 1984 and the Civil War-era dairy barn was converted to a modern winemaking facility in 1990. In 1996, Fox Run built a new winemaking facility with state-of-the-art capabilities. Now the original barn is used for special events, winemaker dinners and our Food & Wine Experience. Designed and built around the barn, the tasting room enjoys ample space, with two tasting bars and a Café.
